The Now, Peterborough's first punk rock band, formed late in 1976. Founded by Mike McGuire (Vocals) and Steve Rolls (Guitar) who were hooked into the London Punk scene late 76 / early 77. Joe MacColl (Drums) and Paul Wicks (Bass) were recruited immediately to form The Now. Shortly after Wicks was replaced on the bass guitar by Faz Farrow. The Now were managed by Allen Adams who later went on to form the band The Destructors.
